You just came home with your baby and expect to enter into blissful motherhood  filled with cute outfits (for baby) and a big oxytocin hit for mom. Then the swollen breasts and tender nipples show up and rain on your parade. Breastfeeding sometimes makes a mom’s relationship with her body a bit complicated.  What works for some may not work for others.  Breastfeeding is not always the easiest endeavor when you first start out. It can hurt. A lot! Also, it can be pretty awkward at first. There is some trial and error before you really hit your stride.

To make the journey a little less stressful, learn about the items so many moms use to have a successful nursing experience. From breast pumps to nursing pillows, there is no shortage of helpful products out there. Not all of them are necessary for everyone, but it is nice to have options. Luckily, we live in a day and age filled with nifty items to make the process of breastfeeding your baby run more smoothly.
